Description

These 3-Cheese Sausage Lasagna Roll-Ups offer a delicious and fun twist on classic lasagna. Packed with a creamy, cheesy filling and savory sausage, each roll-up is perfectly portioned for easy serving. With rich mozzarella, ricotta, and Parmesan cheeses, this dish is a comforting favorite that’s great for family dinners, meal prep, or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained

1 pound Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg, beaten

2 cups marinara sauce

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella, 1/2 cup Parmesan, egg, parsley, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.

  • Prepare the Dish: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Assemble the Roll-Ups: Lay the cooked lasagna noodles flat. Spread about 2 tablespoons of cheese mixture on each noodle, then add 2 tablespoons of crumbled sausage on top.

  • Roll and Bake: Carefully roll each noodle and place them seam-side down in the baking dish. Pour remaining marinara sauce over the top and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.

  • Bake: Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.

  • Cool and Serve: Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Vegetarian Option: Swap sausage for sautéed mushrooms or a mix of spinach and bell peppers.

Spicy Version: Add red pepper flakes to the cheese mixture for extra heat.

Gluten-Free: Use gluten-free lasagna noodles for a gluten-free version.

Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat at 350°F for about 15 minutes or microwave individual portions.
