Description

Baked French Dip Biscuits are a savory handheld delight featuring roast beef and melted provolone stuffed inside flaky biscuits, brushed with herb butter, and served with warm beef broth for dipping. Perfect for a comforting and easy meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (16.3 oz)
  • 8 slices deli roast beef
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Separate biscuit dough into 8 biscuits and gently flatten each.
  3. Place one slice each of roast beef and provolone cheese on each biscuit.
  4. Fold the biscuit edges over the filling, pinch to seal, and form a ball.
  5. Arrange filled biscuits seam-side down in a greased baking dish.
  6. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  7. Brush this butter mixture generously over the tops of the biscuits.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. While baking, warm beef broth in a saucepan over medium heat.
  10. Serve biscuits warm alongside beef broth for dipping.

Notes

  • Add jalapeño slices or hot sauce inside each biscuit for heat.
  • Swap provolone for Swiss or cheddar cheese for variation.
  • Substitute roast beef with sautéed mushrooms and onions for a vegetarian option.
  • Prepare biscuits ahead and refrigerate to save time.
