Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

½ cup butter, melted

1 cup sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 ½ cups flour

⅓ cup cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

Optional Add-ins:

½ cup chocolate chips

½ cup walnuts

2 tbsp peanut butter (for swirling)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.

  2. Mash the Bananas:

    • In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.

  3. Mix Wet Ingredients:

    • In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in the mashed bananas.

  4. Combine Dry Ingredients:

    • In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

    • Slowly fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.

  6. Bake:

    • Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  7. Cool and Serve:

    • Let the brownies cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
