Ingredients
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 count)
- 8 fully cooked breakfast sausage links
- Optional: 4 slices cheddar cheese, halved
- Optional: Maple syrup for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking. - Prepare the Crescent Rolls:
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 individual triangles along the perforated lines. - Assemble the Rolls:
- If using cheese, place a half slice of cheddar cheese on the wider end of each dough triangle.
- Place one fully cooked sausage link on top of the cheese or directly on the dough.
- Roll Up:
Starting at the wide end, roll each triangle toward the pointed end, encasing the sausage and cheese (if using) inside the dough. Place each roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. - Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and fully cooked. - Serve:
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Serve with maple syrup on the side for dipping if desired.
Notes
- Use turkey or plant-based sausage for a lighter or vegetarian option.
- These rolls can be prepped ahead and baked fresh in the morning.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven or air fryer for a crispy texture.
