Description

Buffalo Chicken Pizza combines the spicy kick of buffalo sauce with creamy dressing, shredded chicken, and melted mozzarella for a bold twist on traditional pizza. Topped with fresh cilantro and green onions, it’s a crowd-pleaser for any occasion.

Ingredients

1 roll refrigerated pizza dough or ½ pound homemade pizza dough

¾ cup blue cheese dressing (divided) or ranch dressing

2 cups cooked shredded chicken

½ cup buffalo sauce

2 tablespoons thinly sliced red onion

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

1 green onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 475°F and place a baking sheet or pizza stone in the oven.
  2. Prepare the Pizza Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a piece of parchment paper to a 14-inch circle.
  3. Spread the Dressing: Spread ½ cup of the blue cheese or ranch dressing evenly over the pizza dough.
  4. Prepare the Chicken: Toss the shredded chicken with buffalo sauce and spread it evenly over the pizza along with the sliced red onion.
  5. Add the Cheese: Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the chicken and onion.
  6. Bake the Pizza: Transfer the pizza (on the parchment paper) to the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Remove the pizza from the oven, sprinkle with chopped cilantro and green onion, and drizzle with the remaining dressing before serving.

Notes

For an extra spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños on top.

For a vegetarian option, replace the chicken with buffalo-flavored cauliflower.

Try adding provolone or gouda for a richer, creamier flavor.
