Ingredients
- 8 tablespoons butter
- 16 cups mini marshmallows (divided)
- 10 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 6 ounces high-quality dark chocolate
- 6 ounces high-quality white chocolate
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Line a 9×13-inch pan with foil and lightly grease with cooking spray.
- In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter. Add 12 cups of marshmallows and stir until fully melted.
- Remove from heat and add the salt and Rice Krispies cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Add the remaining 4 cups of marshmallows and mix until combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press it evenly into the pan using parchment paper sprayed with non-stick spray. Let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, cut the treats into 20-24 squares.
- For the chocolate, set up a double boiler: bring 1″ of water to a simmer in two pots. Place a heat-safe bowl over each pot. Melt the dark chocolate in one bowl and the white chocolate in the other, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each Rice Krispie square halfway into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off. Insert a popsicle stick and sprinkle with festive toppings.
- Let the chocolate set completely before serving.
