Description

Cinnamon Cream Cheese Cookies are soft, pillowy, and full of cozy cinnamon spice. Rolled in cinnamon sugar and enriched with cream cheese, these cookies have a melt-in-your-mouth texture and are perfect for holidays, dessert platters, or everyday baking. Simple ingredients, irresistible results!

Ingredients

For the Dough:

Unsalted butter, softened

Cream cheese, softened

Powdered sugar

1 egg

Baking powder

Vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste

Kosher salt

All-purpose flour

For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

Granulated sugar

Ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Make the Dough: In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and cream cheese until smooth. Gradually mix in powdered sugar until combined. Add the egg, baking powder, vanilla, and salt; mix well. Stir in the flour until a soft, smooth dough forms.

  • Chill the Dough: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the dough for at least 1 hour to firm up.

  • Preheat Oven: Set oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  • Prepare Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, mix together granulated sugar and cinnamon.

  • Shape & Coat: Roll about 2 teaspoons of dough into balls. Roll each ball in cinnamon-sugar and place on prepared baking sheet.

  • Bake: Bake cookies for 8–9 minutes, just until set. They should remain light in color and soft in texture.

  • Cool: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Chocolate Chips: Fold in mini chocolate chips for a fun variation.

  • Citrus Zest: Add lemon or orange zest for a fresh twist.

  • Nuts: Add finely chopped pecans or walnuts for a nutty crunch.

  • Alternate Coatings: Try rolling in powdered sugar or colored sanding sugar for a festive look.
