Description

Cinnamon Cream Cheese Pastry Puffs are quick, bakery-style treats made with just six ingredients, including flaky biscuit dough and a cinnamon-sweetened cream cheese filling. Inspired by McDonald’s petite pastries, these puffs are golden, creamy, and irresistibly delicious—perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 (12 oz) tube Grands!® Jr. Golden Layers Butter Tastin’ Biscuits

1 large egg (for egg wash)

Coarse sugar (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a baking mat.

  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.

  • Flatten each biscuit into a 4×3-inch rectangle.

  • Place a heaping tablespoon of cream cheese filling in the center of each.

  • Fold the long sides inward, tucking the ends under, and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.

  • Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar.

  • Bake for 12 minutes, until golden brown.

  • Let cool slightly and, if desired, drizzle with a simple glaze made from powdered sugar and milk.

Notes

  • Add a splash of vanilla extract for extra flavor.

  • Try with fruit jam, Nutella, or pumpkin spice for fun variations.

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

  • Reheat in an oven or air fryer to bring back crispiness.
