Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups French onion soup (canned or homemade)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Prepare the Meatballs:
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. Shape the mixture into 20-24 meatballs. - Brown the Meatballs (Optional):
For added flavor, brown the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side. - Add to Crock Pot:
Place the meatballs in the bottom of the Crock Pot. - Prepare the Sauce:
In a bowl, mix the French onion soup, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Pour the mixture over the meatballs in the Crock Pot. - Cook:
Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until the meatballs are cooked through and tender. - Serve:
If desired, sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese over the meatballs during the last 10 minutes of cooking. Serve the meatballs with sauce over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta for a comforting meal.
