Description

Frozen S’mores Bars are a no-bake dessert that transforms the classic campfire treat into a cool, creamy, and refreshing snack. Made with layers of chocolate pudding, marshmallow creme, and graham crackers, these freezer-friendly bars are perfect for hot summer days or whenever you crave a sweet indulgence without heating up the kitchen. Easy to make ahead and customizable!

Ingredients

1 (5.9-ounce) box instant chocolate pudding mix

2½ cups whole milk

2½ cups Cool Whip, thawed

12 graham crackers, broken in half (24 pieces total)

5 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature

6 ounces marshmallow creme (about one jar)

Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chocolate Layer:

    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and whole milk until smooth and creamy.

    • Fold in ½ cup of the thawed Cool Whip until well combined.

    • Lay half of the graham cracker pieces evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

    • Spread the chocolate pudding mixture evenly over the graham crackers.

    • Place the dish in the freezer to chill while preparing the next layer.

  2. Prepare the Marshmallow Layer:

    • In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and marshmallow creme until smooth.

    • Fold in the remaining 2 cups of thawed Cool Whip and add a pinch of salt.

    • Remove the baking dish from the freezer and spread the marshmallow mixture evenly over the chilled chocolate layer.

    • Place the remaining graham cracker pieces on top, pressing them down gently.

  3. Freeze and Serve:

    • Cover the dish with foil and freeze for at least 6 hours, or until firm enough to cut into squares.

    • Once frozen, lift the bars out of the baking dish using overhanging parchment paper.

    • Place on a cutting board and cut into 12 squares.

    • Allow the bars to sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before serving for easier slicing and a softer texture.

Notes

Add-ins: Incorporate mini chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or toffee bits into the chocolate pudding layer for extra texture and flavor.

Flavor Twist: Use flavored marshmallow creme (like strawberry or chocolate) for a fun variation.

Dipped Edges: After cutting, dip the edges of the bars in melted chocolate and sprinkle with crushed graham crackers or chopped nuts for a decadent touch.

Storage: Store bars in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Serving: Let the bars thaw for about 10-15 minutes at room temperature for the best texture.
