Ingredients

For the Mashed Potatoes:

  • 2 lbs. potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Beef and Gravy:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:

  • Boil chopped potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (about 15–20 minutes).
  • Drain, then mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  • Set aside and keep warm.

2️⃣ Cook the Beef and Vegetables:

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until onion is translucent (about 3–4 minutes).

3️⃣ Make the Gravy:

  • Sprinkle flour evenly over the beef mixture and stir well.
  • Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce, then season with salt and pepper.
  • Simmer for 5–7 minutes, until the gravy thickens.

4️⃣ Assemble and Serve:

  • Spoon mashed potatoes onto plates or bowls.
  • Ladle the beef and gravy mixture generously over the top.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
