Description

These Irish Jello Shots are a fun and festive treat, perfect for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations! Featuring green, white, and orange layers inspired by the Irish flag, these make-ahead gelatin shots are delicious, easy to prepare, and sure to be a hit at any party.


Ingredients

For the Green Layer:

  • 1 (3 oz) box lime gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ½ cup apple juice or white grape juice

For the White Layer:

  • 2 packets unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

For the Orange Layer:

  • 1 (3 oz) box orange gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ½ cup apple juice or white grape juice

For Garnish (Optional):

  • Whipped cream or Cool Whip
  • Green and orange sprinkles

Instructions

Prepare the Green Layer:

  1. Dissolve the lime gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved.
  2. Add ½ cup cold water and ½ cup apple juice or white grape juice. Mix well.
  3. Pour the mixture into 2-ounce shot glasses, filling each about ⅓ full.
  4. Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes, or until set.

Prepare the White Layer:

  1. In a small saucepan, sprinkle 2 packets of unflavored gelatin over 1 cup of cold water and let sit for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Heat over low heat, stirring until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the sweetened condensed milk. Let cool to room temperature.
  4. Once the green layer is set, pour the white mixture over it, filling each glass another ⅓ full.
  5. Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes, or until set.

Prepare the Orange Layer:

  1. Dissolve the orange gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved.
  2. Add ½ cup cold water and ½ cup apple juice or white grape juice. Mix well.
  3. Ensure the mixture is cooled to room temperature before pouring over the white layer.
  4. Fill each shot glass to the top with the orange gelatin mixture.
  5. Refrigerate for an additional 20-30 minutes, or until fully set.

Serve:

  1. Before serving, top with whipped cream or Cool Whip and sprinkles, if desired.
  2. Serve chilled and enjoy!
