Description
Kool-Aid Pickles, also known as Koolickles, are a fun and unique treat that combines tangy dill pickles with the bold, fruity flavor of Kool-Aid. This no-cook snack is easy to make and perfect for parties, BBQs, or whenever you want to try something different and colorful!
Ingredients
1 (32 oz) jar of dill pickle spears or whole pickles
1 packet (0.13 oz) of Kool-Aid (cherry, tropical punch, or your favorite flavor)
1/2 to 1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
2 cups water
Instructions
- Pour the pickle juice from the jar into a large mixing bowl.
- Remove the pickles from the jar and set them aside.
- Mix the Kool-Aid powder and sugar into the pickle juice, stirring well until the sugar dissolves.
- Place the pickles back into the jar or into a new airtight container.
- Pour the Kool-Aid mixture over the pickles, ensuring they are fully submerged.
- Seal the jar tightly and refrigerate for at least 5-7 days, shaking the jar once a day to distribute the flavors evenly.
- Once marinated, serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
Experiment with different Kool-Aid flavors like grape, watermelon, or blue raspberry for a fun twist.
Adjust the sugar level based on how sweet you want your pickles.
For a spicy version, add a few slices of jalapeño or a dash of hot sauce to the pickle jar.
