- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 1¼ cups light brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Wet Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
- Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until fully incorporated.
2️⃣ Combine the Dry Ingredients:
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, oats, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
3️⃣ Form the Cookie Dough:
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. (Avoid overmixing!)
- Fold in white & semisweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
4️⃣ Chill the Dough:
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. (This enhances flavor & prevents spreading.)
5️⃣ Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
6️⃣ Shape & Bake:
- Scoop 2-tablespoon-sized dough balls onto baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden and centers appear slightly undercooked.
7️⃣ Cool:
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. (This helps set the chewy texture!)
