Description

These Marry Me Cookies are chewy, buttery, and packed with oats, white and semisweet chocolate chips, and a hint of cinnamon. Their irresistible flavor and texture make them perfect for any occasion—so good, they might just inspire a proposal!

Ingredients

(Tip: Full measurements in recipe card below!)

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1¼ cups light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Wet Ingredients:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  • Whisk until smooth and well combined.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until fully incorporated.

2️⃣ Combine the Dry Ingredients:

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, oats, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

3️⃣ Form the Cookie Dough:

  • Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. (Avoid overmixing!)
  • Fold in white & semisweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

4️⃣ Chill the Dough:

  • Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. (This enhances flavor & prevents spreading.)

5️⃣ Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.

6️⃣ Shape & Bake:

  • Scoop 2-tablespoon-sized dough balls onto baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden and centers appear slightly undercooked.

7️⃣ Cool:

  • Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. (This helps set the chewy texture!)
