Description

Mint Fudge is a rich and creamy treat that combines the smooth texture of white chocolate with the refreshing taste of mint. This easy, no-fail recipe requires just a few ingredients and minimal effort, making it perfect for holidays, special occasions, or a quick homemade dessert. With an optional pop of green color and a sprinkle of chocolate chips, this festive fudge is as visually appealing as it is delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract (or mint extract)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Green food coloring (optional)
  • ½ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Prepare the Pan: Line a loaf pan or an 8×8-inch square pan with parchment or wax paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  • Melt the Base: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until completely smooth and melted.
  • Add Flavor and Color: Stir in the peppermint extract, vanilla extract, and green food coloring (if using) until well incorporated.
  • Mix in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the fudge.
  • Transfer and Set: Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  • Slice and Serve: Once fully set, lift the fudge out using the parchment overhang, cut it into squares, and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a Stronger Mint Flavor: Adjust the peppermint extract to taste, but be cautious, as too much can be overpowering.
  • For a Layered Look: Create a two-tone effect by making a chocolate fudge layer beneath the mint layer.
  • Mix-In Ideas: Try adding crushed candy canes, chopped nuts, or cookie crumbs for extra texture.
  • Easier Cutting: Warm a sharp knife under hot water, wipe dry, and slice for clean edges.
