Description
Peach Salsa is a bright, fresh, and slightly spicy salsa combining sweet peaches, tangy tomatoes, and serrano chile with lime and fresh herbs. Perfect as a dip or topping for tacos, grilled fish, or salads.
Ingredients
- 3 medium fresh peaches, pitted and diced (about 1 ¼ pounds total)
- ½ cup finely chopped red onion
- ½ cup quartered multicolored cherry tomatoes
- ¼ cup packed chopped fresh cilantro leaves
- ½ small serrano chile, sliced into thin rings
- 1 teaspoon grated lime zest
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon chili powder
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine diced peaches, red onion, cherry tomatoes, cilantro, serrano chile, lime zest, lime juice, kosher salt, and chili powder.
- Stir gently to mix all ingredients evenly.
- Let the salsa stand at room temperature for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow flavors to meld and fruits to release juices.
- Serve fresh with tortilla chips, as a topping for tacos, grilled fish, or on salads.
Notes
- Substitute serrano chile with jalapeño for milder heat.
- Replace cilantro with parsley if preferred.
- Use nectarines, plums, or apricots instead of peaches for variation.
- Add diced avocado for creaminess.
- Mix in diced cucumber or bell peppers for extra crunch.
