Description

Roasted Peach Bourbon Cocktail is a sophisticated and refreshing drink that combines caramelized roasted peaches with smooth bourbon, fresh thyme, and a touch of honey. Finished with sparkling water, it’s perfect for relaxing or entertaining.

Ingredients

1 small peach, halved and pitted

2 sprigs fresh thyme

1 tablespoon honey

2 tablespoons water

3 ounces bourbon (e.g., Maker’s Mark 46)

2 ounces simple syrup

Club soda or sparkling water with natural fruit essence, for serving

Fresh peach slices, for garnish

Fresh thyme sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place peach halves cut side up in glass baking dish. Drizzle honey and sprinkle thyme leaves. Pour water in dish bottom. Cover with foil and roast 30 minutes.
  3. Cool peaches, remove and discard skin, reserving peaches and juices.
  4. Place peaches and juices in cocktail shaker. Muddle until well mashed.
  5. Add bourbon, simple syrup, and ice. Shake vigorously until chilled.
  6. Place two large ice cubes in two highball glasses. Double strain cocktail through mesh sieve into glasses.
  7. Top each glass with club soda or sparkling water.
  8. Garnish with fresh peach slices and thyme sprigs. Serve immediately.

Notes

Substitute lemon juice for simple syrup for a tart variation.

Use rye whiskey or dark rum instead of bourbon.

Add fresh ginger juice or muddle fresh ginger with peaches for spice.

Use flavored herbal sparkling waters instead of club soda.

Garnish with cinnamon stick or star anise for warmth.

Roasted peach mixture can be refrigerated up to 24 hours for later use.
