Description

Savory Crock Pot Beef Brisket is the ultimate comfort food—tender, juicy brisket slow-cooked in a rich, homemade tangy sauce. This easy, flavorful recipe is perfect for holidays, gatherings, or weeknight dinners with minimal effort and maximum flavor.

Ingredients

For the Brisket & Dry Rub:

34 lbs beef brisket

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp brown sugar

2 tsp paprika

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp ground cumin

¾ tsp ground mustard

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

2 garlic cloves, chopped

For the Sauce:

½ cup apple cider vinegar

1½ cups ketchup

½ cup brown sugar

2 tsp each black pepper, onion powder, ground mustard

1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Brisket:
Combine all dry rub ingredients in a bowl. Rub generously over the brisket. For best flavor, marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 24 hours.

  2. Add to Slow Cooker:
In the slow cooker, whisk together all sauce ingredients. Place the brisket in the slow cooker, fat side up, and coat it with the sauce.

  3. Cook Low & Slow:
Cover and cook on low for 8–10 hours until the meat is fork-tender. Do not lift the lid during cooking.

  4. Rest & Serve:
Let the brisket rest for 15–20 minutes before slicing against the grain. Spoon sauce over the top and serve.

Notes

Variations:

Swap the Meat: Use chuck roast or beef shoulder.

Spicy Option: Add extra cayenne, chipotle powder, or jalapeños.

Sweetener Substitute: Try maple syrup, honey, or molasses.

Storage & Reheating:

Fridge: Store brisket with sauce in an airtight container for up to 4 days.

Freezer: Freeze sliced or shredded in sauce for up to 3 months.

Reheat: In oven at 300°F or slow cooker on low, with a splash of broth if needed.
