Ingredients
- 2 ½ pounds brisket
- 1 ½ cups BBQ sauce
- 12 tortillas (flour or corn)
- Toppings (cilantro, Monterey Jack cheese, diced red onion)
- Smokey BBQ Spice Rub:
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Season Brisket: Mix the spices for the smokey BBQ rub and coat the brisket with the seasoning.
- Add to Slow Cooker: Pour 1 cup of BBQ sauce into the slow cooker, then place the seasoned brisket on top.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours.
- Shred or Slice: Once done, remove the brisket from the slow cooker, let it rest for 10 minutes, then shred or slice the meat.
- Assemble Tacos: Place the brisket on a warm tortilla and top with your favorite toppings. Add more BBQ sauce for extra flavor.
