Description

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ pounds brisket
  • 1 ½ cups BBQ sauce
  • 12 tortillas (flour or corn)
  • Toppings (cilantro, Monterey Jack cheese, diced red onion)
  • Smokey BBQ Spice Rub:
    • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • Season Brisket: Mix the spices for the smokey BBQ rub and coat the brisket with the seasoning.
  • Add to Slow Cooker: Pour 1 cup of BBQ sauce into the slow cooker, then place the seasoned brisket on top.
  • Cook: Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours.
  • Shred or Slice: Once done, remove the brisket from the slow cooker, let it rest for 10 minutes, then shred or slice the meat.
  • Assemble Tacos: Place the brisket on a warm tortilla and top with your favorite toppings. Add more BBQ sauce for extra flavor.
