Description

Toasted White Truffle Gnocchi is a luxurious yet simple dish with golden, crispy gnocchi, infused with the rich flavor of white truffle oil, butter, fresh herbs, and optional Parmesan for added flavor.


Ingredients

500g potato gnocchi (fresh or high-quality store-bought)

3 tablespoons butter

1 to 2 teaspoons white truffle oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh herbs (parsley or chives), finely chopped

Salt, to taste

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)


Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients. If using frozen gnocchi, make sure to thaw them. Mince the garlic and finely chop the fresh herbs.
  2. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add the gnocchi in a single layer. Sauté for 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown on all sides.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned. Stir in the fresh herbs.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle white truffle oil over the gnocchi. Toss to coat evenly.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper. Optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a vegan version, use plant-based butter and skip the Parmesan or use a vegan alternative.

Feel free to use different herbs like thyme or rosemary for a varied flavor profile.
