Description

Turkey and Cheese Pinwheels are quick, tasty, and versatile appetizers or snacks made with savory turkey, creamy cheese, fresh greens, and a flavorful cream cheese spread, perfect for parties or lunches.

Ingredients

4 large flour tortillas

8 ounces sliced turkey breast

8 ounces cheese slices (cheddar or Swiss)

1 cup baby spinach or lettuce

½ cup cream cheese, softened

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional add-ins: diced bell peppers, sliced cucumbers, or olives

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
  2. Lay tortillas flat on a clean surface.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over each tortilla, leaving about a ½-inch border around the edges.
  4. Layer slices of turkey, cheese, and spinach evenly on top of the cream cheese. Add optional vegetables if desired.
  5. Starting from one edge, roll each tortilla tightly without tearing.
  6. Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled tortillas into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
  7. Arrange pinwheels on a platter and serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Use flavored cream cheese (herb or garlic) for extra taste.
  • Add a spread of mustard or mayo beneath the cream cheese.
  • Include crunchy vegetables like shredded carrots or radishes.
  • Swap flour tortillas for whole wheat or spinach tortillas for variety.
  • Store pinwheels in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
  • Best served cold or at room temperature; reheating is not recommended.
