Description

White Chocolate Lemon Truffles are creamy, tangy treats combining smooth white chocolate with zesty lemon for a refreshing and indulgent dessert perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

1 cup white chocolate chips

¼ cup unsalted butter

Zest of 1 lemon

3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

½ teaspoon lemon extract

23 drops yellow food coloring (optional)

¼ cup powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Place white chocolate chips in a heat-safe bowl. Add lemon extract and food coloring (if using). Set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, heat butter and lemon zest over low heat until butter melts. Increase heat to medium, add heavy cream, and cook until just simmering. Remove from heat immediately.
  3. Pour hot cream and butter mixture over white chocolate chips. Let sit for a few seconds, then stir until smooth and fully melted.
  4. Cover and refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
  5. Scoop small portions and roll into balls, using powdered sugar on hands or mixture if sticky.
  6. Roll truffles evenly in powdered sugar to coat.
  7. Refrigerate coated truffles for at least 30 minutes to set.

Notes

Substitute lemon extract with lime for a citrus twist.

Use colored sugar or sprinkles instead of powdered sugar for coating.

Dip truffles in melted white or dark chocolate for a richer finish.

Store truffles in airtight container in fridge for up to 5 days.

Freeze on baking sheet, transfer to container; keep frozen up to 3 months. Thaw before serving.
