Ingredients

For the Brownie Base:

Instructions

Prepare the Brownie Base:

  1. Preheat Oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and salt until smooth.
  3. Add Eggs & Vanilla: Stir in vanilla extract and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  4. Incorporate Flour: Fold in all-purpose flour until just combined—do not overmix.
  5. Bake: Pour brownie batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 15 minutes, until edges are set but center is slightly underbaked. Let cool slightly.

Prepare the Cheesecake Layer:

  1. Beat Cream Cheese: In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add Sugars: Mix in granulated sugar and brown sugar until fully incorporated.
  3. Incorporate Cream & Eggs: Pour in heavy cream, mixing until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating on low speed after each addition.
  4. Add Vanilla: Stir in vanilla paste or extract.

Assemble & Bake:

  1. Layer Cheesecake Batter: Pour cheesecake mixture over the brownie base, spreading it evenly.
  2. Bake: Return to oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, until edges are set and center jiggles slightly when shaken.

Add Caramel Topping:
