Description

Sun-Kissed Citrus Blossom Butter is a vibrant, fragrant spread made with fresh citrus zest, honey, and orange blossom water, perfect for adding a bright, Mediterranean-inspired twist to breakfast dishes, baked goods, and homemade brunch spreads.

Ingredients

Unsalted butter, softened

Fresh orange zest

Fresh lemon zest

Orange blossom water

Honey

Vanilla extract (optional)

A pinch of salt

Optional: Edible flower petals (like calendula or chamomile)

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, beat the softened butter until light and fluffy.

  • Add orange zest, lemon zest, orange blossom water, honey, vanilla extract (if using), and salt.

  • Beat again until well blended.

  • Taste and adjust sweetness or floral notes as desired.

  • Fold in edible flower petals gently, if using.

  • Spoon butter onto parchment paper and roll into a log, or place into a jar or ramekin.

  • Chill in the fridge until firm and flavors are fully developed.

  • Serve on toast, muffins, biscuits, pancakes, or scones.

Notes

Try lime or grapefruit zest for a new citrus twist.

Add more honey for extra sweetness.

Increase orange blossom water for stronger floral flavor.

Stir in chopped pistachios or almonds for added texture.

Store refrigerated up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months. Let sit at room temperature before serving for easy spreading.
